A lump on the dog's neck has burst and needs to be surgically removed. Her owner is new to the area, recovering from breast cancer, and does not have the money for the procedure — she has been asking around for any clinic that will take them at a price she can manage, and watching her dog stay in pain in the meantime.
The campaign does not give the dog's name — we're calling her Decatur, after the town they live in.
